Watercolor sketching in the park.

Sketches-1

We went to the Herzogenried park in Mannheim on the weekend. I finally had the opportunity to sketch “in the wild.” I took my sketchbook and pencils and watercolors and set about looking for suitable subjects to sketch. The elderly woman sitting under ad tree took a nap, so she was the easiest, she held still long enough. The gentleman sitting on the bench got up and continued his journey before I could finish his feet. This was fun and challenging, because I have a very small watercolor palette and have to mix colors.

Thanks for taking a look,

Bill
