Oil Painting Snail, finished.

So, here’s my still life Snail oil painting. Hmm, Snail seems like such a stupid name for a painting, if anyone has a good name for this painting please write it in the comments (and no, “crappy oil painting” is not a name).  It’s destined for our bathroom anyway, hmm maybe that is a good name for it, no seriously now, this was fun to do. I learned a lot and had fun doing it.

Colors used: Burned umber, titan white, black and ocre yellow. For the glazes I thinned out the color with the good old bio-walnut oil from the super market.

Next I’ll be working on a acrylic  painting, something bigger. My goal is to do one year of still life paintings and then I want to move on to human figure, maybe the occasional barbarian, just to keep things manly.

Thanks for taking a look and keep drawing,

Bill
